Welcome New Orthopedists In Baton Rouge



Two physicians specializing in orthopedics have joined the Ochsner Baton Rouge team this month. Each has unique areas of expertise: Dr. Knatt in sports medicine and Dr. Huff in orthopedics for children. Appointments with these new physicians can be made by calling Ochsner's appointment desk at 225-761-5200 or by logging onto MyOchsner, our online patient portal. 



Theodore Knatt, M.D. has recently joined the Ochsner’s Orthopedics Department. Dr. Knatt received his medical degree at Meharry Medical College in Nashville in 1990. He completed an internship at Charity Hospital in New Orleans and his orthopedic residency with Louisiana State University. He is board certified in general orthopedic surgery and sports medicine. Most recently, Dr. Knatt worked at the Greater Baton Rouge Musculoskeletal Group. 

Carl W. Huff, M.D. received his medical degree at the University of Tennessee in Memphis then earned his Masters Degree of Public Health Administration at the University of North Carolina. Dr. Huff completed his orthopedic surgery internship and residency at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Philadelphia. He then completed a fellowship in pediatric orthopedics at the Alfred J. Dupont Institute in Wilmington, Delaware. In addition, he completed post-graduate training at New Jersey University of Medicine and Dentistry in 1989. Dr. Huff is board certified in orthopedic surgery, preventative medicine, and by the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners. Most recently, Dr. Huff practiced at Huron Regional Medical Center in Huron, South Dakota.
